I continue on my free time the research of history which started by my late father Kostas C. Papageorgiou (*1912 -+1958). He researched two periods of history. The 1854 uprising of Epirus and the atrocities of the occupation forces during the secon world war. He published a booklet 1947 about the atrocity of the soldiers of the 1st Mountain Division of the Wehrmacht (1. Gebirgs Jaeger Division) and
prepared a study about the unsuccesfull uprising in Epirus 1854. The study was awarded with a prize by the Ministry Of Press of greece 1957. It was partly published in the review "Epirotiki Hestia"
during 1959.
The publication went on for 8 months then stopped due to the loss of the manuscript by the editor.
